A full newborn session gives me enough flexibility to adjust the order instead of expecting every family to follow the same sequence.
Depending on how everyone is doing, I may:
- Photograph family and sibling images first while children are interested
- Move into baby-only setups once siblings are finished
- Pause for feeding or soothing when needed
- Photograph awake images before transitioning into sleepier poses
- Return to a family combination later if a child needs a break
I’ve found that this approach works especially well for newborn family photos because younger children aren’t expected to sit through a long portion of the appointment waiting for their turn. I can work with their attention span while still creating plenty of variety throughout the gallery.

Newborn sessions are best reserved before your baby arrives so I can hold space around your due date. Because delivery dates are unpredictable, the exact appointment isn’t finalized at booking. Once your baby is home, we’ll confirm the session date based on your delivery and recovery, with posed sessions typically photographed within the first 14–16 days.
