Where Do Cake Smash Sessions Take Place?
All cake smash sessions take place in my Rowlett studio. Serving Dallas and the surrounding DFW area. The space is fully equipped and designed specifically for a seamless photography experience. If you're also planning a newborn session, you can explore our newborn photography sessions here.

What’s Included In Your Cake Smash Sessions?
Each cake smash collection includes a few family portraits, individual milestone portraits before the cake smash begins, a beautifully styled cake smash setup, and an optional splash tub session to finish the experience.
Please note, for safety and dietary reasons, parents provide the cake and baby’s outfit for the session. I recommend keeping the cake simple and neutral from places like Whole Foods Market or Target to complement the overall look of the setup. Outfit guidance is always provided to help create a clean, timeless, and cohesive style for your session.

What Happens After my Session? What Is the Turnaround Time for the Edited Gallery?
Within 4-5 days of your session, you'll receive a proofing gallery featuring the images that meet my highest standards. From there, you'll have the opportunity to review your gallery and personally select the 20–25 images you'd like professionally hand-edited, giving you complete control over your final collection. Your completed gallery will be delivered within 22 days of your session date.
Can I Receive a Few Edited Photos before the turnaround?
When your proofing gallery has been emailed, you'll have the option to select 3–5 favorite images for expedited editing. Those selected images are professionally hand-edited and typically delivered within 48–72 hours, so you can enjoy and share a few favorites while the remainder of your gallery is being completed.

Can I Choose a Theme For My Baby’s Cake Smash?
I exclusively use high-quality 3D backdrops. These premium sets create a more realistic, dimensional look while providing a polished backdrop for your baby's first birthday portraits. Because of the investment involved, I do not offer costly custom props or one-time custom-built themes. Instead, I'll work with your preferred colors or theme to create a beautifully styled setup that reflects my signature aesthetic

Can I Purchase Additional Files?
Additional edited digital images may be purchased after viewing your proofing gallery. Additional files are $35 per image.

How long does a cake smash session take?
Sessions typically last about an hour, give or take 15 minutes. Allowing time for family photos, baby portraits and the cake smash setup. If your baby needs a little extra time to settle, the session may extend slightly to ensure a relaxed, comfortable experience.

Is It Is It Possible To Use Two Different Backdrop Designs?
Collections includes only one designed cake smash backdrop. If you would like to add a second backdrop design to your session, an additional $150 design fee will apply, if it’s not in stock. If it is in stock, an additional $50 fee will applied.

How do I book my session? What is the retainer?
Once your date and theme are finalized, you’ll receive your contract and invoice. A non-refundable $125 retainer secures your session. Amount is applied toward your total balance. Your investment includes creative direction, styling, professional retouching, and a high-resolution digital gallery.
The remaining balance is due the day of your session. A 8.25% Texas sales tax applies.
